Before joining the New Concord Development Team, Bernie served as Vice President of Construction at Leyland Alliance, a developer of New Urban Communities along the East Coast.  Bernie was responsible for the overall management of the Development and Construction teams on each of the company's projects.  He also developed the Customer Care Department and had strong influence on the adoption of the Sales Selection process and the development of the Purchasing Department.

Prior to Leyland, Bernie was with WCI Communities for a period of six years.  Shortly after joining WCI as a Construction Manager, Bernie was promoted to Project Manager where he ran some of WCI's most successful projects.

As Director of Construction for New Concord Development, Bernie can utilize his past experiences as he will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations including onsite Construction Management, Site Development, onsite staffing, quality control, scheduling and Customer Service.  Bernie will also assist with due diligence and the viability studies of new projects.  

Bernie studied Construction Technologies at SUNY Delhi before entering the field in 1982 when he began his career in the Site Development field before moving on to Residential Construction in his own business.  Bernie has been a long time member and representative at the Builders Association of the Hudson Valley and he is the current President of the Southern Dutchess Country Club in Beacon, New York.  Bernie lives in Newburgh, New York with his wife Linda.
